Deputy Home Manager

£29,120 + £50 per sleep-in
I am looking for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager to support children and young people in a fantastic residential home for children and young people in Duston.
In this role you will:
* Be responsible for providing day to day care for children and young people
* Work as part of a dedicated, ensuring that care teams are maintaining their therapeutic approach and providing direct work with the children
* Lead shifts and manage a staff team
* Assist in leading staff to operate within legal parameters
* Ensure the home is kept to a good standard, including cooking and cleaning and of course safeguarding welfare at all times
* Support the business, clinical and social development of the service
To be successful in the role you will need:
* NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
* 4 years’ experience in residential care
* Experience of working with young people who have challenging behaviours
* Experience of leading shifts and being designated in charge in absence of Manager
* Experience of supervising care staff
* The ability to work to a rota, including days, sleep-ins, weekends and statutory holidays
* A full UK Manual driving licence
