Job Title: Tax Administrator
Location: Rochester, NY 14423
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate, sales, and property taxes.
Manage tax-related documentation, including maintaining accurate and organized records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence.
Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations by staying current on tax laws and changes.
Assist in preparing reports and analysis for senior management regarding tax liabilities and compliance status.
Respond to tax-related inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
Process tax payments and refunds, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
Support the tax department with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing deadlines, and handling correspondence.
Must-Haves:
Education: Degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a tax or accounting department.
Onsite Requirement: Full-time onsite presence in Rochester, NY, is required.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of tax processes and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of tax preparation software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a corporate tax or accounting environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
