Position Summary:
We currently have an opportunity for an Tax Administrative Assistant in our Des Moines office. The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and operational support to the office to facilitate the efficient operation of UHY.
Tasks:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
Provide tax operational support including assembling tax returns and extensions (Business and Individual) in an accurate and timely manner.
Assemble tax organizers and tax return documents for clients.
Download electronic files and accessing online portals.
Organizing client data, bookmarking files for scanning and validating pages.
Responsible for formatting and proofreading of client correspondence and facilitate the review and approval by responsible party.
Electronically transmit final documents/tax returns to clients.
Accurately organize and maintain electronically executed documents.
Provide back-up coverage for administrative colleagues as well as reception and phones.
Place lunch orders for internal meetings, Lunch & Learns, etc.
Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders with applicable vendors.
Work collaboratively with other administrative assistants to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently.
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Conscientious with a strong work ethic.
A people-centric personality.
Customer service focus.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); 2+ years
