SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic professional with an upbeat outlook to join their team and help support their growing client base. This person will review and prepare federal and multi-state tax returns on a timely & efficient basis; this will include businesses, partnerships, individuals, not-for-profit and trust returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and prepare annual tax provisions and tax planning calculations for estimate and extension purposes.

Research complex tax matters to summarize results and propose resolutions.

Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory tax law developments.

Seventy percent of this role will involve reviewing tax returns.

Supervise and train members of the tax team.

Develop and sustain strong client relationships.

Respond to client inquiries and taxing authorities.

Perform other accounting and tax duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE:

A bachelors degree in accounting or a related major is required

At least 5 years of experience in private accounting (Focus: Mid-sized LLCs & C-Corp., and Net Worth Individuals/Trusts)

Strong knowledge of & experience in tax laws.

NICE TO HAVE:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Microsoft Office Focus in Excel & Word

QuickBooks Desktop and Online

CCH ProSystem FX or Axcess Tax

Caseware
