Filtration Group is looking for a self-motivated international tax professional to join the tax function of a decentralized organization. This role is ideal for a tax professional with 5-7 years of experience in international tax matters, including compliance, reporting, and planning, and looking to make an impact on an organization. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, excited to leverage technology and build tax processes, and is passionate about applying tax skills as a valued business advisor and partner to cross functional teams. Reporting to the Director of US Tax Compliance and Financial Reporting, this is a newly created role that will facilitate building the Company’s international tax function.
The position is based in Oak Brook Terrace with a #hybrid work schedule expecations of a minimum of 2 days per week in office.
Responsibilities:
Enhance and own the Company’s processes for GILTI, FDII, foreign E&P, CFC stock basis, foreign tax credit, and other international tax calculations
Coordinate preparation and review of international forms (i.e. 5471s, 8858s, 1118s) with the Company’s Big 4 tax provider
Build, maintain, and improve processes for the Company’s compliance with global requirements including Country-by-Country reporting, oversight of non-US tax compliance, and Pillar 2
Support the Company’s tax financial reporting process through timely inputs of international tax components, APB 23, and foreign tax provision preparation and review
Monitor global tax law changes to assess and timely communicate impact on Company’s tax profile
Support the treasury and finance teams with tax-efficient repatriation of funds and cash management strategies
Assist with special projects including, but not limited to, transfer pricing, tax planning initiatives, and IRS and non-US exams
Actively partner with cross functional groups within the company to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure tax needs are identified, considered, and communicated.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a minimum of five years of tax experience with a multinational company and/or national public accounting firm
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax concepts, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and foreign tax credits
Significant experience with preparation and review of International Forms (5471, 1118, etc.)
Experience with ASC740 and tax accounting considerations of multinational organizations
Familiarity with transfer pricing, tax treaties, and cross-border transactions
Proficient in tax research and use of tax software and tools, OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) is a plus
Education/Certification
An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Master’s Degree in Tax or CPA certificate is a plus
