Project Manager (Commercial Painting)

Our client is a leader in commercial painting and coating solutions, serving all of Southern California. As an industry-leading painting contractor, they are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to their clients.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires monitoring project progress and ensuring each project meets the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Project Manager who exceeds client expectations and works closely with field management, field crews, and office staff to deliver outstanding products and services to new and existing clients.

Responsibilities:

Estimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate projects with general contractors and owners.

Utilize estimating software effectively.

Manage all phases of multiple projects, from initiation to completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.

Oversee estimating and ensure projects are seen through to completion.

Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Review and interpret architectural plans for project details and specifics.

Analyze proposals and requirements to prepare cost estimates for potential projects.

Utilize various software, including estimation databases and Microsoft tools.

Work closely with the internal estimating department to review and approve all proposals.

Collaborate with the existing team (Superintendents, Foremen, Warehouse, etc.) to prepare for project commencement.

Develop and manage new and existing accounts, assume responsibility for ongoing business, and build relationships with targeted accounts.

Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and budgets.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or estimating in the commercial coatings or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and required documents.

Proficient in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, or similar project management software.

Familiarity with estimating software is required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Full-time position.

Competitive salary: $75,000 $95,000 per year.
