Overview:

This role is onsite at our Rolling Meadows, IL office location.

Upon successfully achieving your six-month milestone increase, you will become eligible to transition to a hybrid working model. Under this hybrid model, your work schedule will include in-office presence on Tuesdays through Thursdays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, provided you maintain good standing within the organization.

How you'll make an impact:

Internally you'll be known as a Resolution Associate (Trainee). This is a hands-on trainee program, where you'll be learning through doing and with group learning sessions to support. Of course, we'll provide you with all the expert training and mentorship you need, and we'll pay for all of your assigned licensing courses and exams. You'll need to come prepared to learn. Throughout the program, you can earn pay increases as you achieve specific milestones and work toward becoming a program graduate and Gallagher Bassett claims professional. 

While on the program and on a day-to-day basis, you'll:

Adjust Claims: Take calls and emails collecting details from the parties involved in an accident or loss to determine the best resolution strategy. 

Investigate Claims: Learn to investigate claims thoroughly, gathering and analyzing information to help you make informed decisions. 

Document Claims: Accurately document claim files and maintain thorough records.

Follow Procedures: Use our systems and follow established processes to make sure you're fully compliant. 

Communicate with Stakeholders: Work with claimants and clients, effectively communication where their claim is and what happens next. 

Provide Excellent Customer Service: Show the claimant you understand how they feel and support them in any way you can during their claim process. 

About you:

You're positive, thrive in a fast-paced environment and, above all,  have a key focus on doing the right thing. It would be great if you had a background in anything medical, however, it's certainly not a requirement, and many of our team have joined without this. 

You're also:

Committed to learning, taking exams, and making the most out of this opportunity. 

Able to work with all kinds of different people, building relationships as you go. 

Able to explain complex things in simple terms for anyone to understand. 

Able to work within a strict set of rules and time-bound requirements. 

People focused, understanding their needs and delivering excellent customer service. 

As a minimum, you'll need:

High School Diploma

State Licensing (within 30 days of your start date)

We require all of our claim personnel who work with our clients to hold an insurance license in the state(s) in which they operate and serve. Requirements for obtaining a license differ by state. We will cover the costs for the assigned licensing course(s) and exam(s). You'll need to work with your supervisor to register for these. Successful passing of the state insurance exam must be completed within 30 days of the start date for you to continue employment in this role.
