Quality Manager

The Opportunity:
Are you a seasoned Quality Manager who has experienced of working within a busy engineering or manufacturing environment? With a focus on Quality, you will take responsibility for the management of a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Packing, Despatch and Warehouse Operators, the EHS Officer and Laboratory Technicians within a busy metalshop environment.

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure that the correct controls and documentations are in place to ensure product quality, integrity and traceability:Quality Planning, Quality documentation and storage, on-time delivery, training for inspection methods and techniques, visual conformance guides, inspection equipment and product handling, ALL in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001.
To lead the Quality team in the execution of the business strategy to include developing and continuous improvement of Quality activities in order to enhance manufacturing and business processes. Whilst also: building the Quality team expertise to provide future rigor and effectiveness in the pursuit of business improvements.
To Maintain an effective and relevant documentation system that is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure content is current and applicable
Manage and collate accurate product defect data (internal scrap) and provide weekly reports, working closely with the production teams to resolve these issues.
To ensure internal audits are conducted to a pre-determined plan and any subsequent findings are closed within a timely manner and to manage all external quality related audits.Requires of You:

Applicants should hold a degree in an engineering related discipline, or a lower level qualification which is supported with relevant engineering experience.
Experience as a Quality Manager within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is absolutely essential.
Previous experience of successfully leading a team from which you will have gained the ability to prioritise and organise team tasks effectively, and to motivate and develop team members
Drive, commitment and leadership to ensure that the highest standards of quality performance are continuously maintained for our customers
Confident and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Associated Benefits:
26 days holiday per annum (allocated to fixed and flexible dates) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
Working Hours: Day shift hours (07.00 to 16.30 Monday to Wednesday, 07.00 to 16.00 Thursday)
