NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a well established CNC manufacturer based in Taunton.

The company specializes in manufacturing and supplying precision machined parts & assemblies to industries such as; aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, and medical. With a focus on medium to high-volume, repeat batch production. Our client is known for its exceptional quality and on-time delivery performance. The company has held ISO9001 certification for over 30 years, and is currently going through the process of attaining AS9100D certification to support our continued growth in the aero & defence markets.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will be the head of all quality related functions within the business, reporting to the directors. The QM will be responsible the QMS, ensuring its continued development, and effective application throughout all functions of the business & our extended supply chain. Along with management responsibilities, the QM will aid in the development & application of effective QC methodology, monitoring performance versus internal & external KPIs, and developing systems to effectively reduce CoPQ. The role will involve collaborating with manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations, including, but not limited to; ISO9001, AS9100D, & TS16949.

Qualifications / Experience

* QMS development & implementation, per industry standards

* Experience of ISO9001, AS9100, and/or TS16949 systems & procedures

* Direct knowledge of internal auditing best practice

* Familiarity with precision inspection metrology & methodology

* Ability to interpret 2D technical drawings & 3D models

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to lead and work in a team environment
