Company Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen with a growing, medium-sized, family-owned M&E contractor, renowned for their expertise in delivering high-quality design & build projects. With an exceptional track record in the industry, my client has recently secured a flagship £15 million mixed-use scheme which is currently in the pre-construction stage in partnership with one of the most prestigious main contractors in the UK. This exciting project, based in London Bridge, will encompass both shell and core, as well as fit-out packages, so a Mechanical Project Manager who has come from an engineering led business, would be very well placed for this opportunity.

As part of their rapid expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who will be instrumental in delivering this key project from pre-construction through to handover and has come from a Project Engineering background rather than a supervisory/ on the tools background. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of this high-profile scheme and, in return, will be offered a fantastic long-term career path with opportunities to rise quickly within the business and become a senior figure in this respected M&E sub-contractor.

Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

Mechanical Qualifications: Recognized qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Project Management Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, managing projects valued at £10 million M&E or more, particularly in MEP design & build, mixed-use schemes, residential or commerical schemes.
Sector Knowledge: Expertise in delivering both shell and core, and fit-out packages is essential.
Pre-Construction to Handover: Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction phase through to successful project handover.
Team Leadership: Strong leadership skills, capable of managing on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of mechanical installation.
Client Engagement: Effectively maintain client relationships, attend regular progress meetings, and act as the main point of contact for mechanical concerns or design changes.
Budget & Procurement: Overseeing procurement of mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases align with project budgets and timelines.
Quality Assurance: Monitoring installations to ensure they meet regulatory standards, high-quality expectations, and project specifications.
Health & Safety Compliance: Upholding health and safety standards on-site and ensuring all works adhere to relevant legislation and building codes.
Reporting & Progress Tracking: Providing regular reports to senior management and clients, detailing project progress, forecasts, and any necessary adjustments.Remuneration Package

Competitive salary ranging from £75,000 to £85,000, based on experience and proven capabilities.
