Job Responsibilities:
Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians in providing compassionate care to our patients.
Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas before procedures.
Observe and provide basic care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Clean and maintain kennels, examination rooms, and other areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Administer medications and treatments as instructed by the veterinary team.
Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during procedures and examinations.
Observe patients and report any changes in behavior, appetite, or health to the veterinary team.
Communicate with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner, providing education on basic animal care and treatment plans.
Perform basic laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing.
Document medical records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care.
Ability to lift and restrain animals as needed.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology.
High school diploma or equivalent.
