Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

My client is global leading engineering and manufacturing business located in the Wolverhampton area, looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join the assembly and test department working on complex hydraulic actuator managing a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Manager

Cultivate a 'Health & Safety Comes First' mindset, ensuring adherence to corporate and legal standards. Support health and safety initiatives where needed and manage environmental impact during operations.
Build a high-performance culture by engaging directly with team members through visible leadership and frequent communication.
Lead the coaching and development of production staff, ensuring comprehensive training procedures are in place for all operations and personnel, while maintaining the skills and capabilities matrix.
Oversee the tactical management of daily operations, focusing on productivity and efficiency to meet daily KPI targets with conforming products.
Manage cost centre financials and implement cost-saving initiatives aligned with company objectives.
Implement lean manufacturing practices and other relevant methods to improve on-time delivery, reduce lead times, and enhance product quality.
Ensure clear communication, coordination, and collaboration between production and other associated departments.
Qualifications & Requirements – Manufacturing Manager

Engineering or Manufacturing Degree, or 5 years of relevant leadership experience.
Leadership experience in manufacturing within the Aerospace, Automotive, or related industries.
Strong communication skills, able to engage with teams and customers both internally and externally.
Skilled in delegating and efficiently allocating responsibilities to manage projects from start to finish.
Experience in leading Continuous Improvement and Change Management initiatives to enhance on-time delivery.
Proven ability to lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, including EASA and AS9100 accreditation.
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
