Our well-established manufacturing client based in Lydney has a requirement for an Interim Operations Manager to join their evolving business. The contract is likely to run until the end of this year.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for managing the day to day operations on site and leading the manufacturing team in achieving KPI’s whilst maintaining continuous improvement by driving change and developing coordination between departments.
Key Responsibilities;
- Manage Production team to ensure products are manufactured within the required timeframes and correct quality
-Manage the capacity of the factory, maximising yield and productivity
-Provide direction, motivation, and support through effective management of direct reports
-Communicating expectations to your production team and appraisal of their performance
-Continually look to reduce waste and reduce costs to the business
-Responsible for site Health and Safety
Candidate Attributes;
-Experience of managing a manufacturing operation
-Experience in managing and driving continuous improvements
-Strong experience in using ERP and other business standard software (MS Office)
Hours; Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 5pm
Salary; £40 to 50k pro rata depending on experience + 24 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) + Pension Scheme + Free access to Wellbeing clinics
