JOB – Tool Maker
LOCATION – Stevenage
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
My client is a well-established company specializing in precision engineering and manufacturing for various industries. They are currently looking for a skilled Tool Maker to join their team in Stevenage.
The ideal Tool Maker will have the following attributes:
• Proven experience as a Tool Maker, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proficiency in the use of manual and CNC machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders - preferably experience with injection moulding!
• Strong knowledge of toolmaking techniques, including creating, repairing, and maintaining tools, jigs, and fixtures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing high-quality parts
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
The Tool Maker role will involve:
• Manufacturing precision tools, dies, and molds for use in production
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on existing tools and ensuring their optimal performance
• Collaborating with engineering and production teams to develop and modify tools to meet project specifications
• Using precision measuring equipment to ensure that all parts meet required tolerances
• Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order, following safety standards and procedures
