About the role:

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting young learners who require additional help with their studies. Your role will involve working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support through boosters and interventions, ensuring that every child has the chance to reach their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience working with young children, ideally within a school setting, is preferred.

• Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children are essential.

• Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable but not essential.

• Attitude: A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting children with diverse needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Individual Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to Key Stage 1 students, focusing on boosting their literacy and numeracy skills.

• Assist with Interventions: Work alongside teachers to implement targeted interventions for students who need extra help to keep up with the curriculum.

• Classroom Support: Assist in preparing classroom materials and activities, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

• Monitor Progress: Track and record students’ progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents to support each child’s learning journey.

• Encourage Development: Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging students to develop their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
