About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. The role is crucial as we aim to enhance support for our students, particularly those needing additional help to catch up with the curriculum. This position is available due to an expansion of our support team. This role stands out for its focus on individual and small-group support, making a significant impact on student progress and development.
Application Requirements:
• Qualifications: Relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Previous experience working with young children, particularly in a Key Stage 1 setting.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a patient and supportive approach, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
• Knowledge: Understanding of SEN requirements and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Providing one-on-one and small-group interventions to boost student progress.
• Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
• Collaborating with the SEN team to implement individualized support plans.
• Helping to monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
