About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is a new addition to our team to support our growing needs in Boosters and Interventions, especially focusing on Special Educational Needs (SEN) within Key Stage 1. The position will involve working with small groups and individual students to help them reach their full potential. The class size is approximately 25 students, with a focus on boosting literacy and numeracy skills. You will work closely with students who require additional support, making a real difference in their learning experience.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children, preferably within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum and Special Educational Needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide support to individual students and small groups, focusing on literacy and numeracy.
• Implement and monitor interventions designed to meet students’ specific needs.
• Support classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and concerns.
