Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Location: Great Bend, Kansas

Salary: $30 - $36.50 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MedSurg RN to join our team for full-time night shifts (6:45 PM - 6:45 AM). In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with best practices. This position offers opportunities to float to other inpatient units within your scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care and monitor patients on the MedSurg unit

Administer medications, treatments, and IV infusions in accordance with physician orders

Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and post-discharge care

Float to other inpatient units as required

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current RN license in the state of Kansas

ACLS and BLS certifications (BLS certification required within the first two weeks of employment)

New graduates are welcome to apply

Preferred experience with gtts, including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem, with plans to start taking these infusions in the future

Benefits:

Evening shift differential: $2.30 per hour

Night shift differential: $3.75 per hour

Weekend differential: $3.00 per hour (Friday 7 PM to Monday 7 AM)
