Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical
Location: Marysville. KS
Salary Range: $27.32 - $40.62 per hour (additional $2.00/hr for ER capability)
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surge Registered Nurse (RN) with the potential for ER coverage. This role offers a competitive salary range from $27.32 to $40.62 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for those qualified to work in the Emergency Room. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assess: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, learning, and discharge needs. Document findings every shift or as directed.
Plan: Develop and write nursing diagnoses based on assessments. Establish measurable short-term and long-term goals. Create an individualized Nursing Care Plan (NCP) upon patient admission within 24 hours.
Implementation: Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as ordered for assigned patients. Document care in accordance with the Nursing Care Plan and hospital policies. Practice and perform risk management and safety procedures following hospital guidelines. Provide patient and family education through written, audiovisual aids, or structured teaching programs and document accordingly.
Evaluation: Monitor and document patient responses to care plans. Continuously evaluate and update the Nursing Care Plan as patient needs change. Review and update patient acuity every shift. Instruct physical care givers in nursing methods and procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Experience in Med/Surge nursing is required. Additional experience in ER nursing is preferred for those seeking the additional $2.00/hr compensation.
Licensure: Current and valid RN license.
Skills: Strong assessment and documentation skills, ability to formulate and implement comprehensive care plans, and proficiency in administering treatments and medications.
