Overview:
Since the doors opened more than 60 years ago, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has continued to build upon its reputation as a leading medical center and the most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. The hospital offers advanced cardiovascular care, including one of the largest open-heart programs in Florida. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation – its highest and best level of accreditation. The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery, lifesaving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and so much more.
The primary responsibility of the Cashier is to provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times. Other responsibilities include operating a cash register receiving payments of cash, & charges from customers or employee for goods or services, making change & issuing receipts to customers. The Cashier records amounts received & may be expected to total and summarize funds received, prepare bank deposits and verify cash at the beginning of a shift. The Cashier must understand and follow the UF Health Central Florida cash handling policies & procedures. The Cashier may also be required to prepare and clean the dining room, server equipment for meal service, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area. May function as meal server in any capacity. Maintaining proper security of cash at all times will be expected.
Non-Essential duties may include: The set-up & storage of the server and beverage area. Other duties may be assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

Education
High School Diploma/GED
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
