LAC Federal is looking for a Library Technician to participate in a significant collection discoverability project at a well-known institution. The Library Technician will be responsible for collection maintenance activities, processing materials, and inputting data for digital material.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cataloging and Classification: Assist in cataloging and classifying library materials using established guidelines and systems
Database Management: Conduct bibliographic searches and update library databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Collection Maintenance: Maintain and organize library collections, ensuring materials are properly shelved and easily accessible.
Digital Projects Support: Assist with digital library projects, including scanning and digitizing materials for online access.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of library equipment and technologies.
Collaborate team project members on ensuring goals are met
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least two years of experience working in a library setting.
