Stanbridge University is seeking a dynamic candidate with excellent organizational skills to join our Accounting Department as an Accounting Clerk. The right candidate must be a highly motivated and organized individual, who can handle a variety of sensitive matters in a professional, mature, and discrete manner. Essential Functions

Excel Pivot table and VLOOKUPS.

Strong QuickBooks knowledge (Desktop)

Process bi-monthly payroll.

Accounts Payable (AP) experience.

Maintain Purchase Order processing system.

Processing and recording financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Reconciling bank statements and verifying financial records to ensure accuracy.

Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Managing and maintaining financial records, including filing and organizing documents.

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Providing support to the accounting team and other departments as needed.

Utilizing accounting software (QuickBooks) and other financial systems to input data and generate reports.

Communicating with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies or issues.

Assisting with auditing and compliance activities to ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

On-Site in Irvine CA

Associate's degree in accounting preferred

2+years general accounting experience

Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.

Must be highly skilled in use of QuickBooks, MS Excel and MS Word.

Must have very good verbal and written skills.

Must have excellent work habits especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

$23-$25/hr. Salary is based on education and experience.

Physical Demands:

The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.

Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.

Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.

Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.

Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.

Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.

Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
