The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' commercial lines insurance experience, must be detail oriented/accurate, and possess good written and oral communication skills. This candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, projecting a positive attitude. 

Responsibilities:

Coordinate expirations with producer to obtain renewal and/or new business information.

Maintain expiration lists.

Assist in marketing new and renewal business by preparing applications, proposals and/or

summaries. Maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.

Check new and renewal quotes and policies for accuracy in rating, typing, coverages, limits, etc. Ensure that documents are delivered and/or mailed to clients in a timely manner.

Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding questions or requests and comply with

the request and/or refer to the producer when necessary.

Prepare policy change requests, ID cards, evidence of property, certificates, binders, premium comparisons, and other insurance documents as needed.

Invoice all premium bearing transactions.

Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and

follow up on overdue and suspense items.

Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines.

Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner with proper documentation.

Keep current on forms and coverage changes through webinars, bulletins, and trade publications.

Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.

Other office duties as assigned or requested by Management

Qualifications:

Must maintain an active/valid California Fire & Casualty Insurance license with minimum 7 years’ Commercial Lines Insurance experience servicing middle market to larger complex accounts. 

Experience with Construction risks is preferred.
