Position Overview:
SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Intake Specialist assists in coordinating and monitoring all activities connected with potential resident intake, answering calls as it pertains to Single Point of Access (SPA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
File and retrieve documents and reference materials
Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications
Receive and interact with incoming visitors
Liaise with internal staff at all levels
Interact with external clients
Provides timely, accurate and clear documentation according to established policies and procedures.
Handles unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges, deadlines and emergencies.
Other duties as requested by Program Director
The salary for this role is 19.23/HR
Qualifications:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
Experience:
CASAC-T required, CASAC preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Valid New York State Driver’s License a plus, but not required.
