We are looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our team! This individual will be supporting our team in the day-to-day financial operations for the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare invoicing for cost plus, fixed price, and T&M invoices in accordance with contract requirements and company policies and procedures

Maintain communication with financial analysts, project managers, and contract representatives, among others, to obtain necessary backup documentation as required

Assist with the monitoring and resolution of accounts receivable matters

Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with contract terms and the Federal Acquisition Regulation

Review and process employee expense reports after verifying accuracy of employee expense claims, ensuring all required documentation and receipts are provided and are in accordance with company policy, and government regulations

Collaborate with employees and management to resolve discrepancies/answer questions regarding expense submissions

Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations

Participate in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and account analysis

Support audit requirements as necessary

Participate in other accounting and finance activities as needed

Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in accounting, finance, or a related field

Must have a minimum of 2 years of Gov/Con experience, strong understanding of GAAP, and knowledge of FAR

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have an eagerness to learn and contribute to the team

CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with national average market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
