As an Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial part in contributing to the maintaining the financial health of the organisation by supporting the Financial Controller in a range of key area's managed by the Accounting and Finance Department.

Description
The role-holder will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions and therefore have a broad range of tasks and responsibilities which will be varied. The main duties will be:
Raising of invoices to customers
Processing of supplier invoices, both purchase ledger and sub-contractors
Creation of weekly and monthly supplier payment reports
Recording of data for inclusion in monthly payroll, and providing cover for payroll processing
Maintenance of fixed asset registers and posting depreciation
Assistance with internal reporting as requiredProfile
Previous experience of working in an accounts department
Ability to work in a pro-active manner, with the flexibility to switch between tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Calm personality: able to deal with deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required
Ability to work as part of a team and deal with colleagues and external contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Good Microsoft office skills, in particular excel and word
Knowledge of CIS tax and reverse Vat charge (beneficial)
