About Us: Our company is a well-established manufacturer with over 50 years of history, creating critical components for blue chip customers. We are located post code area HA4, with easy access via public transport however parking is available for those who prefer to commute by their own transport.
Role Responsibilities
Produce month and year-end accounts
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
Manage external audits and respond to audit questions
Handle stock taking and stock transaction accounting
Review draft statutory accounts to trial balances
Maintain control over management accounts' opening balances
Prepare cashflow forecasts and budgets
Administer payroll, including computations and pension submissions
Perform weekly and monthly multi-currency bank reconciliations
Create and manage sales invoices and purchase orders
Prepare and submit VAT returns on a monthly and quarterly basis
Support senior staff with ad hoc duties
Working Hours: The standard working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility to work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm if preferred. The role requires a 37.5-hour work week, and there is an element of flexibility for occasional remote work based on specific needs.
Qualifications and Skills
5 years previous experience in a similar accounting role
Familiarity with a manufacturing business
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with accounting software, SAGE 50, and SAGE payroll
A proactive attitude towards learning and personal development
Attention to detail and a diligent approach
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
