Mobile Fabric Engineer (237jc) – London - £30 – 34k + Benefits

My client who has a history of over 260 years in the deliver a range of building, engineering and maintenance solutions to some of the region’s most iconic landmarks are now seeking to recruit a Mobile Fabric Engineer for its London Team.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

The company has three main workstreams: Building, Mechanical & Electrical and Maintenance. This diversity of self-delivered services allows them to offer a “one stop shop” solution to their clients. Furthermore, they have the flexibility to carry out minor works through to multi-million-pound projects.

They are incredibly proud of the part that they have played in restoring, building, refurbishing, and maintaining the capital’s heritage over the years. From royal palaces to world renowned museums, galleries, and universities, they continue to forge long-term working relationships at London’s finest buildings.

You will be reporting to the Services Manager and your role will be to ensure that all fabric areas are maintained to the standard required by the Company and the Client. Carrying out all works as required and detailed, with an understanding of the client’s needs and proactively responding to these requirements/situations at all times. Proactivity with client in fault finding, reporting possible problems, clearing up on completion of works, reporting completion and work carried out.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

* Carry out PPM tasks as requested by Administrator and/or Coordinator

* Carry out reactive tasks as requested by Administrator and/or Coordinator

* Liaise with Administrator and client on-going basis

* Carry out any other reasonable works requested as directed by management

* Daily completion of necessary paperwork to attribute working hours to tasks

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:

* Relevant qualification to NVQ level 2 in either carpentry or painting

* At least 3 years carpentry or painting experience preferably on heritage buildings

* Experience of other trades to good level

* CSCS Card minimum with CSCS Heritage Card highly desirable

* Asbestos, WAH, Fire and Environmental Awareness desirable

* COSHH

* Manual Handling

* Commitment to producing high standard of work.

* Ability to work as part of team.

* Ability to work with minimum of supervision

* Able to work weekends and out of hours.
