Science Teacher – Canterbury

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified Science Secondary School Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students aged 11-18, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of scientific principles across various disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the National Curriculum for Science.
Utilize innovative teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support student development.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Participate in curriculum development and extracurricular activities, contributing to the overall academic and social development of students.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in scientific research and education, incorporating relevant findings into teaching practices.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student success and well-being.
Qualification and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with a relevant degree in Education or subject area.
Proven experience teaching KS3 students, with a track record of achieving excellent academic outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)
