About Us: Proffesional civil engineering contractor who specialise in new build retrofit basement substructures, structural frames and piled foundations. Established in 1992 they have delivered over 250 basements across London and the Home Counties.
We’ll either work closely with your basement room design team to deliver your project, or if required can provide a design-and-build service for structural work and manage all necessary logistics.
We are fully insured and provide warranties to cover all aspects of our work.
Position Overview: We are looking for a Chartered Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, specifically with a minimum of 3 years of experience in foundation design, reinforced concrete, and temporary works. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing contracts for large-scale engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee engineering contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Lead the design and review of foundation structures, reinforced concrete elements, and temporary works to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, architects, and site engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
* Conduct site visits to assess work progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, contract performance, and engineering challenges.
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to maintain strong working relationships and address any contractual issues.
Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is mandatory.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in foundation design, reinforced concrete, and temporary works.
* Strong understanding of engineering contracts, with experience in contract management and negotiation.
* Proficiency in engineering software related to structural analysis and design.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
