Job Title: Head of OTC (Order to Cash) Reporting
Location: London, United Kingdom
Department: Shared Services and Transformation
Reports to: Head of Shared Services and Transformation
Team Size: 13 (Billings and Collections Team)
Salary: £65,000 or open to day rate options

Role Overview

The Head of OTC Reporting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the order-to-cash process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in managing customer billings and collections. This role will involve driving operational improvements, implementing best practices, and supporting the broader transformation strategy within Shared Services. You will lead a team of 13 professionals and be a key contributor to the strategic direction of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a team of 13 across billings and collections, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • OTC Process Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including accurate invoicing, timely collections, and cash application.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide detailed OTC reporting, including KPIs, trends, and insights to senior leadership. Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with finance, sales, and operational teams to align OTC processes with overall business objectives and ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements across the OTC cycle.
  • Transformation Leadership: Actively contribute to the Shared Services transformation strategy, including leading initiatives related to digitisation and operational improvements.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to define and execute OTC strategies aligned with the company's broader financial and operational goals.

Key Requirements

  • Proven Leadership Experience: Significant experience in a senior OTC, billings, or collections management role within a large, complex, global organisation.
  • Telecommunications Sector Experience: Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong Financial Acumen: Expertise in managing financial processes and reporting, with a solid understanding of cash flow management, revenue recognition, and accounting principles.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Process Improvement Expertise: Experience in driving process improvements, operational efficiency's, and system enhancements, with a focus on automation and transformation.
  • Change Management: Proven track record in leading change within a large organisation, ideally within a shared services or transformation environment.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications (eg, ACCA, CIMA) are an advantage.
