About the role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have a particular interest in supporting students with challenging behaviours? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Challenging Behaviours, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will help create and implement tailored strategies to support students with behavioural challenges. This role requires patience, resilience, and a deep understanding of the complexities of SEN.
Your day-to-day will involve providing one-on-one and small group support, assisting with classroom management, and helping students develop the social and emotional skills they need to succeed. • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
• A solid understanding of behavioural management strategies.

• An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviours in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist the class teacher in implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure their continued development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
