Quality Engineer

£50k,Harrogate area

Quality Engineer with previous experience in the automotive or aerospace industry is required to join a growing manufacturing business.

We seek a dynamic candidate looking for a role where they can develop their career who has a proven background in driving their own projects and implementing effective procedures and change.

The role will include the following

Overseeing the quality function from raw material to delivered product
Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (internal, supplier, customer)
Support new product introduction undertaking full APQP including FMEA, MSA, PPAP & SPC
Implement and manage Six Sigma core tools (PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC)
Ensure compliance in line with IATF16949/ISO9001
Lead quality audits
Implement quality management system improvements
Delivering training as required
Undertake supplier and third-party audits.
Investigate non-conformance, undertake 8D / root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsKey skills

Confident experience in managing quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of IATF16949
Fully conversant with AQPQ
Internal and supplier auditing experience.
Excellent investigative, questioning and communication skills
Experienced in Lean Manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma
Hold a minimum HNC in mechanical engineering or similar
Be seeking a role where you can develop
