HR Business Partner - 6 month FTC

Purpose of the job
* Act as a champion for HR best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
* Supporting the People Experience team with our back to basis projects
* Assist with improving the reputation of the HR team following a number of redundancies within the business
* Asist with collaborate with the team in all aspects of HR
* Mentoring where necessary of the Hr Advisors new to role
Main responsibilities
* Establishes a fair approach to employee-employer relationships, which builds strong empowerment and work ethic within the business at the same time as culture of trust and commitment to the business.
* Manage and support HR Advisors with ER case work
* Asist with change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during periods of organisational change. Conduct comprehensive analyses of critical roles within the organization, identifying key competencies, skills, and performance indicators.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
* Review current policies where necessary
* Assist the Head of People Experience with payroll each month
Person specification
* CIPD Level 5
* Proven knowledge of UK Employment Law and able to apply it to strategic decision making.
* Experience of managing complex employee relations work
* Commercial acumen – can partner with the business to deliver commercially focussed people strategies.
* Private Equity-backed businesses would be preferable, it is not a pre-requisite
* Experience of the Energy industry, corporate development activities, including mergers, joint ventures, and alliances all would be a plus.
* Ability to read an understand HR Metrics and give them meaning and apply them to strategy
* Previous proven budgetary experience
* Experience in streamlining HR processes with best practice ensuring a good end user experience.
* Able to empower and develop team members
* Experience of supporting organisations through growth, integration and cultural transformation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to persuade and influence.
* Comfortable acting as a coach, confidante and sounding board to the HR team
* Grounded, collaborative, and comfortable engaging at every level of an organisation
* Line Manager experience desirable not essential
