Senior Surgical Ward Nurse

Salary: up to £45,000

London

Ward Shifts are:

Days 7am-3pm or 1pm-9pm

Nights 8.30pm-8.00am

Long days 7am-9pm - with 1hr ½ hour break

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

* Lead by example and be an ambassador.

* Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be

* Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs

* Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

* Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students

* Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

What we will need from you:

* Nursing Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.

* Registered Nurse (RN) License: Valid RN NMC pin.

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in surgical or acute care nursing.

* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

* Clinical Expertise: Proficient in surgical procedures, post-operative care, and patient management.

* Problem-Solving: Ability to handle emergencies and critical situations effectively.

* Training Skills: Experience in mentoring and training junior staff.

* Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
