Learning support assistant required in Newham for an immediate start!
Are you compassionate and caring with the ability to engage and encourage learning in a Resourced Provision setting within a Primary school?
Do you have an interest in working with SEND children (Nursery to Year 6)?
If you have answered yes to the above questions, then we would love to hear from you
This is a long-term position that has an immediate start date. The working hours for the role are 8:30am –3:45pm
Job responsibilities:
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:
* Supporting children on a 1-1 basis
* Be willing to provide additional support for toileting and personal care
* Be willing to work with non-verbal students who can be challenging
* Have the ability to engage children and help them in promoting self care and independence.
* Supporting them with indoor and outdoor activities.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience working within schools, preferably as a Learning Support Assistant
* A background in providing personal care for adults or children
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Patience and a calm demeanour at all times
* Flexibility
