The basics
Job Title: Quality Engineer - Aerospace
Location: Derby
Hours: Monday to Thursday (8.00am - 4.45pm) and Friday (8.00am - 12.30pm)
Contracted hours per week: 37.5 per week
Salary: Up to £47,000 DOE
Holidays: 33 days
Benefits: Death in service x2 of salary, pension, free onsite parking.
Overview:
Working in first class manufacturing facilities we now require a Quality Engineer to join the business to ensure quality procedures for the business are maintained to the highest standards.
Duties/responsibilities:
Support the Quality Manager in achieving & maintaining certification to all applicable standards
Support other members of the Quality team through mentoring and coaching
Deputise as required for Quality Manager for all Quality related activities
Utilising applicable Quality Tools, ensure that non-conformance is detected, contained, investigated and robust actions to prevent re-occurrence implemented.
Conduct Quality product and system auditsThe ideal candidate / Quality Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
Previous experience within the aerospace industry
Knowledge of AS9100 requirements & NADCAP
Experience in lean tools and practical problem solving such as 8D, Kaizen processes
A natural leader, who can motivate and lead with excellent interpersonal skill
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this is a customer faced role
Previous experience compiling First Article Inspection Reports
Knowledge of Machining, Fabrications and metal treatment processesLocation: Derby, Burton, Castle Donington, Ilkeston and Surrounding Areas.
