Working as part of the supply chain team, the Stores Operative will play a key role in managing incoming deliveries, maintaining stock control and supporting production through timely replenishment of materials. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, organisation and a proactive approach within a busy environment.
The Stores Operative will be responsible for:
Receiving, checking and accepting deliveries of components and materials
Booking goods into the system and routing parts to the next stage in the process (e.g. inspection)
Storing materials in allocated locations while maintaining FIFO, traceability and handling requirements
Monitoring line‑side stock levels and replenishing materials in line with Kanban or 2‑bin systems
Conducting inventory checks and supporting stock accuracy through regular counts
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace in line with 5S and company standards
The Stores Operative will have:
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or goods receiving environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle precision or sensitive components.
Basic IT skills, including experience with ERP or stock management systems.
Good numerical skills and stock control awareness.
Understanding of health & safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
