An Insurance Claims Surveyor is required for an established insurance repair contractor based in Northamptonshire. The Insurance Claims Surveyor will visit residential and commercial properties affected by incidents including fire and water damage. You will assess the extent of the damage and prepare accurate repair scopes, cost estimates and realistic project timescales. Previous experience working within insurance claims or insurance reinstatement is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Visit properties affected by fire, flood and escape-of-water damage.
*
Inspect damaged buildings and assess the extent of the required reinstatement work.
*
Prepare detailed scopes of work and accurate repair estimates.
*
Calculate labour and material requirements for each insurance claim.
*
Establish realistic project programmes and anticipated completion times.
*
Produce clear survey reports supported by photographs and relevant evidence.
*
Identify potential structural or health and safety concerns.
*
Liaise with policyholders, loss adjusters and insurers throughout the claim.
*
Coordinate with internal contracts teams to ensure an effective project handover.
*
Review variations and additional works identified during the reinstatement process.
*
Ensure estimates comply with insurer requirements and agreed schedules of rates.
*
Maintain accurate records across multiple live insurance claims.
*
Deliver a professional and empathetic service to customers following property damage.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Demonstrate previous experience within insurance claims or insurance reinstatement.

Possess experience surveying fire-damaged and water-damaged properties.

*
Interpret insurance scopes and schedules of rates confidently.
*
Communicate professionally with policyholders, insurers and loss adjusters.

Manage a varied caseload and competing priorities effectively.

Show strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
*
Remain calm and empathetic when dealing with customers in difficult circumstances.

Hold a full UK driving license.
