A leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for an Occupational Health Nurse to join its UK site. Applicants are sought who have experience working in an industrial sector (distribution, manufacturing, engineering, construction) and can demonstrate a proven track record of running health assessments, medical screening and promoting wellness and preventative health measures. The position can be offered on a full or part time basis.
The Role
Health Assessments & Medical Screening: Conducting pre-employment and routine medical screenings.
Injury and Illness Management: Managing work-related injuries and illnesses, providing advice, and coordinating return-to-work programs.
Health Education & Promotion: Promoting wellness and preventative health measures, providing training on ergonomics, hazard prevention, and lifestyle changes.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring the workplace complies with health and safety regulations and legislation, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate health records.
Risk Assessments: Identifying workplace health risks and helping to mitigate them through preventive measures.
Vaccination & Immunization Programs: Managing immunization programs, especially for employees in hazardous or exposed roles.
The Person
Registered Nurse.
Specialised in Occupational Health Training.
Prior experience working in an industrial environment is preferred.
Ability to work with both management and employees to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
Ability to identify workplace hazards and come up with effective solutions to minimize risk.
Strong report writing skills
Proven experience carrying out health screening including general medicals and drug & alcohol testing.
Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and legislation
