Facilities Manager

Annual Salary: £40000 - £42000
Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Full-time (Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Mon - Fri)We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Manager to oversee operations across three sites. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Managers, Head of ESG, and the QSHE Manager to ensure that all facilities are managed efficiently, effectively, and safely.

Day-to-day of the role:

Ensure a Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule is in place and strictly followed.
Manage timely maintenance of all plant equipment.
Oversee the facilities aspects of the Safety Culture database system, ensuring all data, including the approved contractor register, is logged and up-to-date.
Source new contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, renovations, waste disposal, and security as required.
Take charge of new projects and modifications to existing facilities.
Handle the control of, and raising Purchase Orders, and ensure the clearance of associated invoices for accuracy and payment.
Develop strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs, and forecast future facilities needs.
Develop and monitor facilities budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving measures.
Ensure compliance with all facility health and safety and security protocols.
Manage waste control in accordance with ISO14001:2015.
Work closely with the Head of ESG to support initiatives and projects aimed at improving our environmental credentials and creating sustainable practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in facilities management with practical trade skills (plumbing, electronics, carpentry).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage preventive maintenance and contractor/supplier relationships effectively.
Commercial mindset with the ability to manage budgets and seek cost savings through in-house solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable managing workload across multiple sites without supervision.
Commitment to operating with integrity and keeping customer service at the forefront to ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment.Benefits:
