Talent Guardian is recruiting for an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee three sites for a fast-paced and forward-thinking organisation based in Poole.
Working closely with the Operations Managers, Head of ESG and QSHE Manager, you will ensure all buildings, equipment and facilities services are managed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities
Manage and maintain the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
Ensure maintenance and repairs are completed promptly across all plant and equipment.
Manage facilities information, approved contractors and records within the Safety Culture system.
Source and manage contractors and suppliers for maintenance, repairs, renovations, waste disposal and security.
Oversee new facilities projects and improvements to existing sites.
Raise purchase orders and check invoices for accuracy and payment.
Manage facilities budgets, monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Forecast future facilities requirements and develop strategies to improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, security and facilities procedures.
Manage waste controls in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
Support ESG initiatives and projects focused on sustainability and environmental improvements. About you
You will have previous facilities management experience and practical trade skills. You will be adaptable, hands-on and confident resolving day-to-day maintenance issues where appropriate.
You will also have:
Experience managing PPM schedules, contractors and suppliers.
A strong understanding of facilities health and safety requirements.
Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and costs.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
The ability to manage your workload independently across multiple sites.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
A proactive mindset focused on creating a safe and well-maintained working environment
