Resource & Supply Chain Manager
Location: London (Flexible Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Resource & Supply Chain Manager to oversee resource planning, supplier management, procurement, and logistics across operational and project activities. This role is responsible for ensuring people, materials, equipment, and services are available and delivered efficiently to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead resource planning, ensuring the right people, equipment, and materials are available when needed.
Develop and optimise resource plans across Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and specialist personnel.
Forecast resource demand, identify capacity gaps, and support workforce planning.
Monitor utilisation, workloads, annual leave, and temporary labour requirements.
Coordinate project delivery schedules with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Manage supplier and subcontractor sourcing, onboarding, performance, and relationships.
Coordinate procurement activities to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Negotiate supplier agreements and drive value-for-money outcomes.
Track supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, lead times, responsiveness, and HSE standards.
Produce supplier performance reports and improvement plans.
Coordinate transport, plant hire, equipment, and logistics services.
Support project mobilisation and resolve resource conflicts.
Identify and mitigate risks related to resources, suppliers, logistics, and long lead-time items.
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.
Prepare management reports on utilisation, capacity, labour usage, forecasts, recruitment needs, and supplier performance.
Promote collaboration across Operations, Projects, Technical, and Procurement teams.
Drive continuous improvement in planning, operational performance, and supply chain efficiency.
Experience Required
Proven experience in resource planning, operations, or supply chain management.
Strong track record of improving operational performance through effective planning.
Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors, procurement, and logistics activities.
Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Experience producing forecasts, management reports, and performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
Qualification or equivalent experience in Resource Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills.
