An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading engineering manufacturer producing high-performance technical products. This role would suit a Quality professional from a manufacturing or engineering background who enjoys driving continuous improvement, leading audits, maintaining quality systems and working across production, engineering and supply chain teams to ensure compliance, resolve quality issues and deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Plan, conduct and maintain internal, supplier and external audit programmes, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified.
Lead investigations into non-conformances, CAPA activities and root cause analysis using methodologies including 8D, A3 and Lean Six Sigma.
Chair weekly Material Review Board (MRB) meetings while supporting production and engineering teams in resolving quality issues and driving operational improvements.
Maintain quality documentation, monitor quality performance trends and lead continuous improvement projects that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Skills and qualifications:
Proven experience in Quality Engineer position for Manufacturing
Strong QMS systems experience
Internal & External Auditing experience - certified preferred
Ability to lead activities and work autonomously where needed.
Location: Blackburn

Salary - c £40k - £45k (dependent on experience) + Benefits.
