Admin Officer

Our client, a reputable organisation supporting the UK Navy, is hiring an Admin Officer to join the Security Access Control team at HMNB Clyde. This full-time, office-based role is integral to maintaining secure access operations within the base, supporting the Fleet, personnel, and equipment.

What you'll be doing:
* Managing daily access control requests for visitors, staff, contractors, and vehicles using the Symmetry database.
* Processing and authorising HM Naval Base Clyde permanent passes, including vehicle passes and VIP passes.
* Ensuring compliance with JSP628 security standards and maintaining accurate records.
* Providing excellent customer service to visitors and contractors, resolving access issues, and advising on clearance renewals.
* Supporting security incident recording, risk assessments, and liaising with internal and external security teams.
* Assisting with administrative tasks such as maintaining security documentation, arranging meetings, and supporting the security leadership team.
* Providing contingency support across security departments, including RNAD Coulport.

What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
* Ability to make effective decisions using a risk-based approach.
* Experience with security access systems, preferably Symmetry.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Flexibility to support various security functions as needed.

Essential skills & qualifications:
* Knowledge of security procedures and access control.
* Proficiency in MS Office and Symmetry database.
* Experience in administrative support and customer service.
* Familiarity with security standards such as JSP628.
* Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Additional info:
* Location: Helensburgh, G84 8HL.
* Start date: ASAP.
* Contract end date: 31/07/2027.
* Shift: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Rate of pay: £15.21 per hour, paid weekly.
* Parking available on-site.
* This is a reservist post; applicants must be sole British nationals.
