The Supply Register is delighted to be working in partnership with Tyne Coast College, South Tyneside Campus, to recruit a passionate and experienced Maths Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to support students in developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence, and skills across Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Maths programmes.
The Role
As a Maths Lecturer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students and support them in achieving their academic goals. You will play a key role in monitoring progress, preparing learners for examinations, and creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering effective Maths lessons across Functional Skills and GCSE Maths programmes
Assessing and monitoring learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Preparing students for examinations and supporting achievement of positive outcomes
Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs
Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement activities
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support student success
Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
Engaging in continuous professional development
Working Pattern
Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 16:45
Friday: 08:30 – 12:30
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Maths
A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths within a Further Education environment
Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
A commitment to supporting learners and improving student outcomes
