The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit a GCSE Maths Lecturer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking college, supporting learners to achieve essential Maths qualifications and progress into further study or employment.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering GCSE Maths, helping learners build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
Deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons to post-16 learners
Support students with varying abilities and learning needs
Plan and deliver inclusive and effective teaching sessions
Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Prepare learners for exams and assessments
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience teaching Maths (GCSE level)
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Ability to engage and support post-16 learners
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
Experience within Further Education or secondary education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
