Software Developer - Python

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Developer to join a growing team delivering software solutions across engineering, integrity management, and technical consulting projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams, developing applications and tools that support both client-facing projects and internal innovation programmes. You'll be involved throughout the software lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development through to testing, deployment, and user support.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain software applications and tools

* Work closely with engineers and technical specialists to deliver project requirements

* Support software testing and validation activities

* Produce technical documentation and user guidance

* Assist with software training and knowledge sharing

* Provide ongoing support for users and stakeholders

* Contribute to continuous improvement and development initiatives

Required Experience

* Strong Python programming and scripting skills

* Degree-qualified in Computer Science or a related field

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Experience

* Web development technologies including HTML5, CSS, AJAX, and ASP.NET

* Database programming or data management experience

* UI design and user-centred development

* Software support, testing, or quality assurance exposure

* Experience working within engineering or industrial environments
