Senior Engineering Geologist

£45,000 - £55,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a well-established geotechnical consultancy based in Edinburgh. The role offers the chance to work within a highly experienced team delivering a wide range of ground investigation and geotechnical projects across Scotland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects from site investigation through to reporting, with a strong focus on technical quality and client delivery. This position would suit an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a varied role combining site work, technical reporting and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and supervising ground investigations, including borehole logging, trial pitting and in-situ testing
Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
Interpreting ground investigation data and developing ground models
Providing geotechnical advice to clients and project teams
Supporting project delivery from planning through to completion
Mentoring junior members of the team and supporting their technical development
Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplinesRequirements:
Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
Proven experience within engineering geology and ground investigation
Strong understanding of UK ground conditions and geotechnical principles
Experience with site supervision, logging and technical reporting
Excellent communication and organisational skills
