Job Title: Asbestos Analyst
Location: Kingston upon Hull
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a long-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Analyst to join their team covering East Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
With over 30 years of industry experience, this respected consultancy has built an excellent reputation for technical excellence, long-standing client relationships, and supporting its site teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Analyst looking to join a business that offers realistic workloads, long-term stability, and a genuine commitment to quality.
THE ROLE
As an Asbestos Analyst, you will be responsible for carrying out the full range of asbestos analytical duties across commercial, industrial, and public sector sites throughout East Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
Working independently and alongside experienced colleagues, you will deliver high-quality analytical services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carrying out the full range of asbestos analytical duties
* Undertaking air monitoring, leak testing, reassurance testing, and four-stage clearances in accordance with HSG248
* Working across commercial, industrial, and public sector properties
* Liaising professionally with removal contractors, site managers, and clients
* Conducting bulk asbestos sampling where required
* Producing accurate and compliant documentation in line with HSG248 and HSG264
* Supporting survey teams with Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) surveys where required
* Managing your own workload with autonomy while maintaining high technical standards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
* BOHS P402 qualification desirable
* Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience as an Asbestos Analyst
* Strong understanding of HSG248, HSG264, and current asbestos legislation
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
* Strong IT skills and excellent attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence
